Bill ≈ kWh used × your unit rate (p/kWh) + the daily standing charge × days in the month. The Ofgem price cap sets the maximum unit rate and standing charge for standard variable tariffs in each region; fixed and time-of-use tariffs (such as Economy 7 or EV tariffs) will differ.
