What coverage means

A postcode district in our directory means you can view and report power cuts there. It does not mean every power cut will be detected: detection depends on people in that area reporting. No recent report does not prove the power is on.

Data sources

Postcode districts and post towns follow the Royal Mail postcode structure; coordinates are approximate town-centre positions. Network operator details come from powercut105.com and each operator’s own website (October 2026). Operator-to-district matching is at postcode-area level, so districts on an operator boundary can be served by the neighbouring operator – 105 always routes you correctly. Electricity prices are the Ofgem price cap (October – December 2026).
