About this list

The list combines the live open-data feeds of the UK's electricity network operators: SSEN, National Grid Electricity Distribution, UK Power Networks, SP Energy Networks, Northern Powergrid, Electricity North West and NIE Networks. Each power cut shows the postcode districts affected, how many properties are off, when it started and the operator's estimated restoration time.

Not on the list? Very recent or very small power cuts can take a few minutes to appear, and some operators leave out power cuts affecting only a handful of homes. Call 105 (free, Great Britain) or NIE Networks on 03457 643 643 in Northern Ireland, and tap "Power is out" on your postcode page so neighbours know.
